The rules
The refusals matter more than the prose.
Almost everything written about AI and work is selling a course, a tool, or dread. So the rules here are published rather than implied.
Why the refusals are published
On this subject the refusals matter more than the prose. Almost everything written about AI and work is either selling a course, selling a tool, or selling dread, and all three are easy to disguise as help. So the rules are on a page rather than implied.
The refusals
- No figure for job losses. No percentage, no fraction, no range, no date, no cited study. Not in the pages and not from the guide. This is the firmest rule on the site.
- No prediction about any occupation or industry, including yours, including reassuring ones.
- No tool rankings, no recommendations, no affiliate links, and no arrangement with any company that makes these systems.
- No CV writing, no applications, no introductions, and no recruitment services, despite the trade James came from.
- No advice to resign, ever.
- No financial or legal advice. General shape only, then somebody qualified looking at your actual numbers and your own national law.
- No course sold, no programme, no coaching, and no upsell beyond network membership.
- No telephone numbers, including emergency numbers. The route is named; the number is the one where you are.
- No price written into this site, anywhere. The join page shows what it currently costs and that is the only correct figure.
- No motivational register. Nothing here will tell you this is an exciting opportunity, that you should embrace change, or that everything happens for a reason.
- No claim that because one man managed something, you will. Your situation is your own.
The AI is disclosed, not hidden
The guide on this site is an AI and says so in its first line. It is not James, it is not a person, and no human being reads what you type. It is not monitored, it will not contact anybody, and it does not remember you between conversations.
On a site about AI changing your work, pretending otherwise would discredit everything else on it.
How safety is handled
Every message to the guide is checked for risk to life before it is answered. If something in it suggests you are in danger, the guide stops the work conversation and names the routes, rather than carrying on discussing your career around it.
That check is deliberately not triggered by a man being frightened, ashamed or despairing about his job. That is the ordinary subject matter here and this site is built to talk about it without treating him as a crisis. The safety page is never behind anything and is never counted against any allowance.
Sources, and the absence of them
You will notice very few citations on this site, and that is the point. There is nothing to cite for a forecast. Where something is factual and national — employment rights, notice periods, redundancy pay — this site names the type of source to go to rather than restating rules that differ by country and change.
What is asserted here comes from twenty years inside hiring and reorganisation, and is written as experience rather than dressed up as research.
Corrections
If something on this site is wrong, or reads as though it is forecasting, or has quietly acquired a statistic, it will be corrected. Write to the address on the network pages. Corrections are made to the page rather than argued about.
